7am - 8.45am ::: Breakfast
An impressive buffet breakfast will be available in Katers Restaurant at Manor House, including for those booked at Craigieburn or other off-site accommodation.
8.50am ::: Daily briefing
We outline the schedule for the day and take care of any administration issues.
9.15am ::: Leave for HARS aviation museum
We will take one of most famous drives in the state, Macquarie Pass, a steep and winding road down the Illawarra escarpment, to visit the HARS aviation museum near Wollongong. We'll be given guided tours in groups of 10 through the museum where you'll get up close to the only Super Constellation still flying in the world, along with their flagship aircraft VH OJA Boeing 747-400 series, which made the first non-stop flight from London to Sydney in 1989.
Lunch will be at HARS, under the wing of the 747.
There's an option to visit the Kiama Blowhole, before the return journey back to the Highlands via Jamberoo Mountain Road. Keep an eye out for Jamberoo lookout, perched on the edge of the coastal escarpment – it's viewing platform offers a striking panorama over rolling hills and paddocks and out to the Pacific Ocean.
